In recognition of International Coaching Week, the Vancouver Island Coaches Association (VI Coaches) hosted a series of thought-provoking webinars and an interactive half-day conference during the week of February 6-11, 2012 with the theme of “What is at the Heart of Coaching”. The events and the community’s participation more than exceeded our expectations. Congratulations to both the organizers and the participants for making this week a memorable learning opportunity! The registration numbers definitely exceeded the VI Coaches ICW Planning Committees’ expectations for both the webinars and the half day conference during International Coaching Week February 6-10th.
A big thank you to the VI Coaches on the planning committee, the VI Chapter Leadership Team, and others who chipped in to make this week go off without a hitch. We especially thank our event sponsors whose support was the foundation of these very successful events. Our sponsors:
- Accomplishment Coaching
- Coaching and Leadership International
- The Coaches Training Institute
- Erickson College
- Royal Roads University
And a very special thank you to the ICF coaches who presented at the webinars throughout the week. The various topics were all great learning opportunities and very well presented. And, another high-five goes to the coaches and guests who spoke and/or were panel members at the half day conference on Feb 9th. It was a very educational, motivational and inspirational morning!
And most importantly, kudos to all those who committed to stretch themselves and sign up for the week’s learning opportunity. We had both local island(s) ICF members and non-members sign up, as well as guests from other provinces, states and countries join in. The feedback was phenomenal from all those who participated in both the webinars and conference.
Continuing education credits were awarded for each event by ICF, with a total of 10 CEC’s given to someone who participated in all the events for the entire week. This was apparently the highest number of CEC’s awarded to any chapter in North America by the International Coach Federation during ICW. This definitely puts the Vancouver Island Chapter on the radar screen with ICF as a ‘happening’ coaching community!
Here is what some of you had to say:
“This is just a quick note to express my gratitude for the undeniable effort that was put into International Coaching Week. I am privileged to work in the midst of such committed and talented individuals…”
“Thank you very much – what a great webinar series this has been!”
