“Why hire an ICF Credential-holder?”
Welcome to our directory of member coaches of the Vancouver Island Chapter of the International Coach Federation (ICF). As ICF members, we are governed by Codes of Ethics which establishes the professional code of conduct that you can expect as a client. ICF Member coaches are enrolled in or have at least 60 hours of coach specific training. “Credentialed” coaches (ACC, PCC, MCC) have additional training and experience that allow them to qualify for these designations.

Mr. Peter Scott

Biography
A graduate of Cambridge University, England, Peter Scott has lived for over a decade in each of three countries: the United Kingdom, the United States, and Canada, giving him a unique perspective on the cultural differences of those nations. For thirty years he has provided services to NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory and been an author, trainer, and educator in information technology; for him, “rocket science” is a vocation, not a barrier.
He earned his masters certificate in NeuroLinguistic Programming under John Grinder and has spent thousands of hours working in self-development seminars. He is presently co-authoring a book on life purpose with human potential leader Terry Tillman. His life has been a diverse blend of science and psychology, business and self- help, the rational and the intuitive. This eclectic combination yields a coaching style that blends business acumen with penetrating insight into human nature.
In 2017, Peter authored the book “Crisis of Control: How Artificial Superintelligences may Destroy or Save the Human Race,” about how exponentially-advancing technology creates great peril as well as great benefits. He has spoken at TEDx and keynoted around the world on how the solution requires all of us to become more aware of what makes us and others ‘tick’ – in other words, a coaching call to arms.
Peter’s cosmopolitan background gives him the ability to relate to most members of the Western world from a shared cultural experience: to put it pithily, he is fluent in both Home Counties and L.A. dialects. He lives on Vancouver Island with his wife and two daughters in a house he designed, overlooking the Straits of Juan de Fuca.

Annette Siewertsen CEC
Certified Executive Coach SeaStar Coaching
Biography
I have believed in coaching from the time I started working with the Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching at Royal Roads University in 2005. Since becoming a Certified Executive Coach through Royal Roads Univeristy; coaching has become a way of being for me. I have shifted my listening and my way of conversing at home, at work, with friends, in organizations that I am connected to…not a huge shift…however, an impactful shift.
Believing in and being are two different pieces. I learn from each and every coaching conversation that I am engaged in and am finding that everyday conversations are turning into coaching conversations so naturally now. I have had the mindset of a “coach approach” with teams and colleagues throughout my career. I have participated in many leadership programs as I am curious about how people rise to the challenges they face in their lives.
I have been involved with local and global organizations linked to the coaching profession for a number of years and have been intrigued by the different ways of thinking and the common value of helping others. Being part of these organizations has helped me realize that this is something I would like to be part of not only in my career but also in my life. Some of the organizations that I have been involved with are:
Currently on the Steering Committee for the Western Regional Advisory Council for the International Coach Federation (ICF) (3 years)
Currenty a Team Coach for one of the Community Action Project Teams and have been a Mentor with Leadership Victoria (3 years)
