With Acknowledgement and Gratitude:
We acknowledge with gratitude and respect the 53 First Nations of Vancouver Island located in three distinct tribal regions – Coast Salish, Nuu-chah-nulth, and Kwakiutl whose historical relationships with the land continue to this day. We recognize that we live, work and play on unceded traditional First Nation territories and respect the histories, languages, and cultures of First Nations whose presence continues to enrich our vibrant community and connection with the land. We want to thank First Nations ancestors who have cared for the land and intend to deepen our connection and respect for these First Nation territories.
On behalf of our members, ICF Vancouver Island commits to learn, connect and create opportunities for right relationship with First Nation communities.
