VI Coaches Announces Community Outreach Program in the Making

One of our goals at VI Coaches this year is to support a non-profit organzation on Vancouver Island to bring coaching to individuals and organizations who may not be able to afford it, yet value the impact of professional coaching. Sherry LeBlanc, Past President, has been in conversation with Bridges for Women to bring coaches and coaching to complement their new Self-Employment Program (SEP).

The Bridges SEP is a program funded by the Canadian Women’s Foundation with the goal of creating an entrepreneurial training program that meets the needs of women who have been impacted by trauma, abuse, and violence. Their aim is to improve the livelihood of individual women by providing opportunities to gain economic self-sufficiency through self-employment and small business start-up.

We are very excited to have this opportunity and look forward to sharing coach volunteer opportinites to our chapter members. Details of our outreach program are just being finalized, so stay tuned for details on how members can be involved.
